A Retail Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day store operations, supervising sales staff, maintaining inventory, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting the store in achieving sales targets. Typical duties include staff supervision, merchandising, stock control, customer handling, and sales reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and guide retail sales staff and assign daily tasks.

Monitor daily sales and help the team achieve sales targets.

Handle customer queries, complaints, and service issues.

Maintain proper inventory and monitor stock levels.

Coordinate stock receiving, transfers, returns, and replenishment.

Ensure proper product display and visual merchandising.

Monitor billing and cash-handling procedures.

Train new employees and monitor staff performance.

Prepare daily/weekly sales and stock reports.

Ensure the store is clean, organized, and operationally efficient.

Follow company policies, promotional guidelines, and safety standards.

Requirements

Qualification: 12th Pass / Graduate

Experience: 1–4 years in retail, sales, or store operations preferred.

Good communication and customer-handling skills.

Basic computer and MS Excel knowledge.

Leadership and team-management abilities.

Ability to work in a target-oriented retail environment.
