A Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, supervising, and managing construction projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure. They ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and supervise construction projects.
Prepare drawings, estimates, and project reports.
Monitor construction work and site activities.
Ensure quality control of materials and construction.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and site workers.
Conduct site inspections and measurements.
Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimates.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Monitor project timelines and budgets.
Solve technical issues arising at the construction site.
Required Skills
Knowledge of AutoCAD and civil engineering software.
Understanding of construction materials and methods.
Knowledge of BOQ, estimation, and quantity surveying.
Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage site workers and contractors.
Qualification
Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Civil Engineering.
Experience
1–5+ years of experience preferred for Site Engineer/Civil Engineer roles.
