Job Description
An Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock records, coordinating with suppliers and warehouse teams, and maintaining efficient inventory control processes. The role aims to minimize stock shortages, reduce excess inventory, and support smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Track stock movement, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
Conduct regular stock audits and physical inventory counts.
Ensure inventory records are accurate and updated in the inventory management system.
Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to maintain stock availability.
Analyze inventory data to identify slow-moving or excess stock.
Prepare inventory reports and forecasts for management.
Implement inventory control policies and best practices.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory/ERP software (SAP, Oracle, Tally, Zoho Inventory, etc.).
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Good communication and team management skills.
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in inventory, warehouse, or stock management (fresh graduates may qualify for junior roles).
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ERP systems and inventory control software.
Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and inventory optimization techniques.
